steamworksprozone-poptropicaSteamworks Island – the fourteenth island on Poptropica – has been launched in early access for Paid members of the virtual world of Poptropica.

Players of the freemium version of the game will have to wait at least until September 9, when Steamworks Island will be made available for the public.

Like previous island releases on Poptropica, the developers have been posting some sneak peeks and screenshots of the new island on the official Poptropica Blog.

Details about Steamworks Island are so far scarce, but we have come to know that the new island will involve a plenty of machinery.

Players will see an out-of-form robot, some sort of oversized plant monster and some out-of-the-ordinary tools that they will use in their inventory. The main difference between Steamworks Island and the previously released islands will most probably be the lack of Poptropica citizens.

Lack of citizens is a part of the mysterious story as players will wonder where everyone has gone. Instead of witnessing people walking here and there, potential players will find only robots and machines.
